3 Simple Mindfulness Exercises For A Stress-Free Day

(Read Time: 2 Min.)

It can be hard to remain mindful throughout the day. We’re all constantly connected to our phones and devices, and with so much going on in the world it can be easy to forget to just take a step back and stay present in the moment.

That’s why mindfulness is so important…

But it doesn’t mean you have to stop what you’re doing, close yourself off, and spend half an hour hitting “reset.”

Here are three simple ways that you can practice mindfulness during your day-to-day life.

Breath Awareness

This exercise can be done anywhere at any time, making it perfect for busy days when you don’t have a lot of time for mindful exercises.

All you need to do is close your eyes, take a deep breath in through your nose, hold that breath for a few seconds, then slowly exhale through your mouth or nose.

Do this for two minutes or until you feel more relaxed--it helps slow down your breathing rate and increase awareness of the present moment.

Body Scanning

This exercise encourages you to focus on each part of your body from head to toe one by one, allowing you to connect with yourself in an intentional way.

To start, lie down or sit comfortably with your eyes closed and begin paying attention to the physical sensations within each individual part of your body.

Notice any tension or tightness that may exist but don’t force anything—just observe what is there without judgment.

It might help to imagine each part being filled with warmth or light as well if that helps you relax further into this exercise.

Mindful Listening

This exercise involves tuning out background noise usually by focusing on one sound at a time such as birds chirping outside your window or cars driving past in traffic…

Anything that isn’t too loud but still audible enough for you to hear clearly will do!

Start by closing your eyes and listening intently until another sound reaches your ears then shift focus over towards that instead until something else captures your attention.

Continue doing this for 5 minutes or until you feel relaxed enough before opening up again!

Mindfulness doesn’t have to be complicated. These three simple exercises can help promote relaxation throughout even the busiest days when practiced regularly.

Each exercise only takes a few minutes out of our day but will lead us toward greater clarity and connection with ourselves…

Which is invaluable when life gets hectic. Give these exercises a try today and see how they work for you!
